![]() ![]() ![]() But yeah any bike that's over 35lb is gonna be a monster to ride up the hill. ![]() I have made climbs that some of my xc buddies on their climbing machines have faltered on. It just takes a lot out of you but it is in no way unable to climb, in fact technical climbs are one of it's fortes. It's only weakness is on really long protracted climbs, the ones where you ride up and up for miles. It seems to spur you on to go harder, and you lose a little of the fear factor when you realise that it's up for almost more than you can dish out, only really finding it's limits on ridiculously scarey terrain that downhill and free-ride bikes call home - you know the real big stuff. Riding the bike you bcome very confident and enthusiastic. The rear end, as everyone says is lateraly stiff, and the ribbed chainstays add to that as well as making you feel that little more secure knowing you'd have to hit them with a sledge hammer to bend them. Ovalised down tube with a really ingenous integrated gusset matched to a 1.5 head tube and literally able to run the largest of forks. Square to round, hydroformed, triple butted tubing on the top tube. This bike is a versitile beast, the frame is like no other, a lot of thought has gone into making the Rune super strong yet reasonably light. ![]()
